Great Bargins I Found

I have been very busy this weekend, so there was no scrappin to be done, but I did find a few bargin items in the mean time. On Saturday, Melissa, My Mom, The Baby, and I attended the Oak Alley craft show out in Vacherie, LA. The picture of Bailey, was taken Saturday morning, right before we left to go to the craft show. What a cute little Pumpkin!!! After we went to the craft show, we decided to make a trip to Michaels since it was on the way home. At Michael I purchased some of the new series of the Studio G Stamps, which are only $1.00 (Guess That Is Why I Like Them So Much). Over the course of my busy weekend, I also had a chance to make it to the Dollar Tree on Barataria Blvd, and found some great wooden stamps for $1.00. I can not wait to use all of my new stamps to make some great cards. I also want to thank the Scrappin Packin Momma's for inviting Bailey and I to come by and visit them on Friday night at their Western Hoe Down that was hosted this weekend. While visiting the Scrappin Momma's, I was able to see a very good friend of mine that I had not seen in a long time, and she was also celebrating a Birthday!!! I made a special gift just for her. Until next time.....Happy Scrappin!!!

Halloween Layout

Here is the first Halloween Layout that I did for Bailey's 1st Halloween. I was so excited that I actually did the entire layout by myself. I used only paper and stickles. The pumpkins and ghost are paper pieces that I put together. I am so excited and can not wait to do more layout for Our "Boo"-tiful Baby Girl! I can not believe that my baby girl is 5 weeks old already!!! Gee....how time flies when you are having fun!!!

Resting Peacefully, So Mommy Paper Pieces

Here is a picture of my baby girl, that was resting oh so well, so I decided to put her on the floor of my scrapbooking room that way I could watch her and get some work done at the same time. She slept for about an hour and a half, and it was just enough time for me to get a few more paper piecings done!!! I can not wait to use my new paper piecings on my halloween pages that I am going to do with Bailey's 1st Halloween pictures. I am having so much fun doing my paper piecings, just can not wait until Bailey gets old enough that someone will keep her so I can go to an all day crop......HA HA HA. Make sure to look for more to come. Until next time happy scrapping!!!

So I Have Not Fell Off The Face Of The Earth

So it has been way over due for me to update my blog. Well over the last 10 months, since my last update, there has been quite a few changes in my life. I gave birth to a beautiful baby girl named "Bailey Nicole" who was born on 9/10/08. She is the most precious gift that a mother could ask for, but she keeps me on my toes. I have been extremely busy now keeping up with a newborn, but I have also been inspired by a very special friend of mine "Paper Piecing Patty". Patty updates her blog on a daily basis and e-mails it to all of her friends, with pictures of all of her beautiful art work. I enjoy getting Patty's updates everyday. Since I have been seeing all of her new Halloween Paper Piecings that are all so cute, I have been inspired to do a couple of my own. Especially since I did take a class from Patty back in July, and have not done any paper piecing since. These are my very first paper piecing that I have done on my own, and hopefully I will continue to work on a few more and get better as I go. I have decided to try to make more paper pieces that I can use in Bailey's scrapbooks in the future. THANKS AGAIN PATTY!!! Till Next Time...........Happy Scrappin!!!

So It Has Been A While...

Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season. It has been a little rough for me to get back into the swing of things, but I think I have got it now. I have been quite the little busy bee. On December 30th, I was invited, along with Peppermint Patty to a card making session at "Yo Momma's" House with a few of the ladies from group Scrappin Packin Mommas. We had a great time and between the 6 ladies and Sarah (Yo Mommas daughter) we created a total of 83 cards. You will find of few of the samples that I made.

I had a great time making some of my christmas presents, and one of my favorites was the Mardi Gras paint cans that I made for one of my co-workers. Each one of my co-workers received a paint can for christmas with a zebra looking scarf in the inside. Each of them were very thankful and could not get over how cute and different they all were.

On Saturday, January 5th, I tagged along with my mom for a trip to Hobby Lobby in Slidell, where I ran into a bunch of scrappin buddies. Patty (aka: Momma 411), Lizzy (aka: Yo Momma), Cathy, Lizzy, and also met two new scrappin buddies from the westbank, Julie Lay and her friend Sandra. While I was there, I got some really good sales and bought a few new stamps. On the way coming back we stopped at Michael's and hit the dollar bins, where I spent more money than I did at Hobby Lobby......lol. Bought some great new stamps and is so excited, can not wait to have another stamping party with my scrappin buddies.
On January 12, Tara Reece (aka: Laffy Taffy) held here all day crop at Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Kenner, LA. from 9am to 11pm. Pictured from left to right is Jill (aka: Jilly Bean), Melissa, Nicole (aka: Butterfingers), Ashley (Lisa's step-daughter), Tara (aka: Laffy Taffy), Brittany (Lisa's daughter), Kaci (aka: Starburst), and Lisa (aka: Bubblicious). All the ladies seemed to have gotten quite a bit accomplished. There was a page constest, where Ashley placed 1st and Jill placed 2nd with their layouts. There were also a few door prizes that were given out over the course of the day. We received 5 tickets just for going, 5 tickets for brining a camera, and 2 tickets for every page that we completed. While I was there I decided to work on my pictures from the BCS Bowl game party that we had at my mom's house (LSU vs. Ohio State). Did my own version of an LSU scrapbook. Below are a few pictures of what my book looks like. Hope you enjoy. Geaux Tigers!
